Introduction

Watching season 1 & 2 of The Great British Sewing Bee has made me really eager to get back into sewing clothes and all the crafty things I used to do.  I've also been to a couple of pre-Christmas craft events and the things that I see give me so many ideas of things I want to do (when I have time!).

In between working full time, running around after kids, and being on committees, I've been studying for my Level 5 Diploma in Information and Library Studies through The Open Polytechnic.  Nearly 2 1/2 years later I can see the light at the end of the tunnel (& nope ... it's not a train!!).   I'll be finished at the end of February 2015 and I can get my personal life back.

I'm starting this blog to keep track of my crafty creations, store ideas of things I want to do, and record my trip back into crafting heaven.

First off though I've got to finish my ILS studies.

Then I've got to kick my son out of what used to be my craft room and back into his old room - he actually needs a queen-size bed and it won't fit in MY craft room!  Besides, he'll have a TV in what we currently call 'The Man Cave' (yeah, 3 males that love playing on the Xbox - I'm in the minority here).  He'll be happy, and I'll be happy :-)

Oops, and I better get my Janome sewing machine serviced.  I found out a while ago that this should happen regularly.  Considering I got it for my 16th birthday, only 30 years ago, and its never been serviced, I figured it's about time for it to get some love and attention.
